European Plate Observing Systems - Optimization and evolution

  • Ongoing project

The BedrettoLab joined the EU-funded EPOS ON project, an initiative to enhance EPOS research infrastructure. Our contribution is towards integrating data from the geoenergy testbeds into the well-established data framework of EPOS. We work together with Utrecht University and TU Delft from the Netherlands, to develop data and metadata standards for geothermal data sets to finally provide a data service that meet the research community needs. This project kicked off in October 2024, at the same time our data manager Liliana Vargas joined the BedrettoLab team to take over this endeavor. Our goal is to strengthen collaborations with European infrastructures alike and foster knowledge transfer and data management best practices. We build upon results from the Geo-INQUIRE project to provide virtual access to experimental data.
