Project

GeoPERM aims at characterizing the permeability of geologic structures observed in the Bedretto VALTER volume, using a combined approach of precise lab measurements and geophysical borehole logging. The project is conducted in collaboration with Kyoto University of Japan.

The labwork we perform consists of dedicated experiments to get permeability, porosity and density of the rock mass from cores. For geophysical logging we use single-hole georadar and wireline logging tools.
